Japanese-made products populate the American marketplace. However, I doubt many have even heard of the brand Yamaki. Nevertheless, according to a detailed user review over at Music Gear Review, the Yamaki F-160 is one heck of an acoustic guitar. The model reviewed is actually a 1973 model, which apparently is still in use by the owner. That alone should be testament to the Yamaki’s quality.

But if you really want more information, you’ll have to look elsewhere because the reviewer was more inclined towards giving his personal feel of the F-160 and describing his experiences with the guitar, rather than penning down cold, hard facts about the Yamaki.

In any case, it’s clear that the Yamaki is one high quality guitar, especially given the reviewer’s conclusion: “I could never replace this guitar today at any cost. Yamaki built a great guitar and I am very pleased to have owned one. Actually I bought a 12 string from the same distributor with in the year and eventually sold that to a friend who still owns it today as well.”
